Implementation Basics

Implementation of any improvement model requires, at least, the following:
1. Program Management of the implementation initiative
2. Organizational Change Management for obtaining budget, resource, time, support of key stakeholders
3. Technical understanding of the model requirements

Program and Organizational Change Management are needed for any initiative in the organization and hence their generic understanding is essential.

From the model perspective, the key point to note is that audits and assessments by external agencies rely on implementation evidence. Hence focus on what artifacts need to be created for the various model requirements and expectations is a must.
