Its a Myth that Business Survival is First and Foremost and Business Excellence Comes Much Later

Small-sized organizations are of two types - first, those that have a good chance of becoming big one day and second, those that are trying to just sruvive and remain small and would eventually die one fine day.

The core idea behind business excellence is closely tied to what finally happens to a small-sized organization.

If the organization is able to get good logos and nurture and grow them into big ticket accounts, the company has a fair chance of succeeding at becoming bigger.

In fact, one may think, that business survival is first and foremost and business excellence would come much later. This is not really true.

The concepts of business excellence can be leveraged to not only survive but to grow as well and that too at a fast clip.

Some of the following business excellence concepts are especially useful for small-sized organizations:

  • Do right the first time and do better the next time
  • Customer satisfaction is not enough to survive and grow
  • Customer delight is the best weapon for survival and growth
  • Winning a customer is tough but retaining is far tougher
  • Constant learning and improvement is the only way to go
